Welcome to the Island of World Peace

Maharishi Island of World Peace or Inishraher is a 30 acre island located in Clew Bay, Co. Mayo on the west coast of Ireland. The island is a place where guests from all over the world can come to experience and create peace through their practice of Transcendental Meditation and its advanced programmes.

Being on Maharishi Island is like being with Maharishi. The rest of the world, with its problems and stresses, seems to disappear and only the peaceful silence remains. While the outside environment is outstandingly beautiful, it cannot compare with the experience of diving within. It is Heaven on earth, simply Heaven on earth.

My New Year dawning on the Island of World Peace was fresh, warm and nutritious for my mind, body and spirit. The island location aided my experience and reflection on Self. I enjoyed taking many beautiful photographs on the hill of surrounding islands and mountains, on my after meal walks. I will be back.

My first meditation here was wonderful. The silence and purity of the island adds to the experience. The amazing views are unlike anywhere else.

Arriving at Inishraher was like a homecoming. It was as if the whole Island of World Peace was welcoming me to a magical place, half-remembered, where all possibilities seemed within reach. Receiving Vedic/Total Knowledge enveloped in the serenity of Vastu was a perfect combination to nurture mind, body and soul.

Silence. Serenity. The invigorating fresh air. Sublime sights of constantly varying hues. Meditations that start from a great stillness.
